Southern CT State University Cafeteria Renovations

This 20,000 square foot cafeteria went through a major renovation over a two-month construction period and a mechanical, electrical and plumbing design period of about one- month. Almost all of the cooking and serving stations were replaced and a few were added.

Overall grease exhaust airflows were significantly increased, but Aztech Engineers, Inc. found a to provide additional make-up air without adding HVAC equipment, by reconfiguring some of the equipment and modifying the automatic temperature controls. Even with the extremely tight time schedule Aztech Engineers, Inc. took the time to fully understand all the existing system so that they could be used effectively.
